Great Timing

Hello,

So far, so great! I am amazed at how such a spontaneous trip turned into perfect timing in each area I have been visiting. Pittsburgh was my second stop in which there so happened to be a Pittsburgh Stealers game that Sunday. The Dry Falls water fall was another stop which just got a lot of rain the week before making for a nice site of the powerful waterfall and water below. My current location is Nashville, Tennessee (known for its music) is having the 49th annual Country Music Awards in the city!

I visited Chattanooga, TN on my way to Nashville yesterday and was happy with the sites I saw. The Lookout mountain had a great view of 7 states, and the Ruby Falls was cool. The Lyft app is letting me drive again so I can earn some money before tonight. I planned on walking around the city and checking out the nightlife when the awards are over. So far the people here are really nice and have great accents.  I will be leaving at 5 am tomorrow morning for my next stop is New Orleans! I will update the “trip tracker” once I arrive tomorrow.

Road trip destinations planned

Hello,
Below is the list of some of the destinations I have planned for my Uber road trip. These destinations may change depending on where the Uber driving takes me but it provides a good starting point. I created the list by printing out a map of the USA, plotted addresses of destinations I wanted to visit, and found some other destinations on my current routes using trip advisor If you have any recommendations, please feel free to comment below. Depending on the progress I am making, I will be adding new destinations. My goal is to make it back to New Jersey before Thanksgiving so this gives me almost 20 days of travel. Only 2 more days before the journey starts!

First road trip set for Halloween October 31, 2015

Hello,

I will be starting the official Uber Road Trip on October 31, 2015 (Halloween). The trip will start in New Jersey and end in California. I will have a $500.00 fund which will be used to get the trip started. Once I hit the road I will have to earn enough Uber fares to pay for my gas, food, and housing. The Uber earnings are paid on Wednesdays so I will have to time my trips and spending accordingly to sustain a positive bank balance.

Here are a few rules I had in mind:

  1. I can only Airbnb my housing.
  2. I can not eat/drink anything from a corporate chain (Dunkin Donuts etc.)
